Tourism is one of the better-documented parts of Uganda’s economy, which makes it one of the few areas where a claim can usually be checked against a published figure. These pages keep the figure and its source together.
What the published figures cover
Visitor arrivals, park entries, hotel and lodge capacity, and revenue-sharing allocations are collected by different bodies on different cycles, so they rarely line up neatly. Each article states which series it is using and for which year, rather than blending them into a single headline number.
Seasonality and what it means in practice
Seasonality shows up in almost every tourism series here. The practical consequences — pricing, availability, road conditions, and how full a park feels — are covered alongside the numbers, because the numbers alone do not answer the question most readers actually have.
